Sophia is a Junior at Columbia Grammar Preparatory School in New York City. She is passionate about building a community, helping others, and spreading awareness about current events. 

 

For the last three years, she has volunteered with Friendship Circle, an organization that brings together and supports Jewish people with special needs. During her time there, she has been fortunate to develop a strong bond with one family. This has given Sophia the opportunity to work with kids throughout various seasons of their life which has taught her about growth and patience. 

 

Because Sophia’s interests lie at the intersection of current events and working with families who have been affected by various challenges in life, she cares deeply about the success of Those They Left Behind. She hopes that the podcast will highlight otherwise unshared stories and ultimately provide financial support to the children of IDF soldiers who have been drafted.
